May 16th was a HUGE day for me. My baby girl got married. And even though they had a photographer, I wanted to document as much as possible myself. What I learned is that I have a LOT to learn about photography. Could’ve been nerves too but as I’ve heard many times in Karen Russell’s class….”you can’t have your cake and eat it too” and the way I shot, I got neither! These photo are NOT SOOC, they’re edited as best as I could do. The seating was not close to the altar, so I used my Tamrom zoom lens, and therefore can look back and think………I SHOULD’VE taken my tripod, I SHOULD’VE checked my ISO more often, I SHOULD’VE changed my white balance as the evening lighting changed. I SHOULD’VE taken this shot from a different angle, I SHOULD’VE checked my exposure compensation. And so goes the story. I’m chalking it all up to yet another learning experience. Anyway, here are a few shots from the wedding from my viewpoint.
Here’s a shot of the groom’s face as he watches his bride walk down the isle.

The lighting of the Unity Candle.

A serious moment in the Mass.

Just before exchanging vows.

Duane saying his vows to Jessi.

The bridesmaids looking on.

The Kiss.

My beautiful daughter.
