More Macros

I’m learning real quick a few important points about shooting macro shots.  #1, I need knee pads and a shorter tripod – #2, when there’s a breeze blowing, plan on sitting for awhile to get THE shot, and #3, when the breeze decides to blow even harder, don’t waste your time waiting to get a...

Another Flowerbed

I decided I needed yet another flowerbed this spring.  Here are some photos I took of the progress. I worked all weekend on this.  I plan to put a wooden bench where you see the lawn chair sitting.  What a peaceful place to read a good book. And here it is done, along with a...

More Flowers

Anyone that knows me KNOWS how much I love my flowers.  Since all my perennials are only beginning their yearly growth, I stopped by the florist yesterday and bought a bouquet of flowers just to take photos.  Hey, I need the practice.  So here’s just a few that I liked the best.  You can see...

Flowers

Today, I got photos of some of my flowers since the snow from yesterday had melted. Thank goodness! I’m ready for spring!  I shot this with a black backboard, placing the flower about 2 feet in front of the board to keep the board looking really black. Camera settings: Manual, 50mm, f/1.4, 1/250, ISO 400...
