Butterfly & Flowers

I had my macro lens out today playing just as a blue butterfly decided to visit.  That’s being in the right place at the right time!

Here are a few more shots I took.  If I had all my flower photos printed, they’d fill a ton of albums!!

I just LOVE the way the veins show up in these macros!

Newborn Shoot

Here’s just a sneak peak of the shoot I did with sweet little Gradey.  He was barely a week old, took a bit to get him to sleep.  He did wake up for the helmet shot though.  That one’s for Dad!

It was a pleasure Nate and Tempest!!  Thank you!!

Fun Photos

More photos of the grandbabies.  Aiden wore himself out playing in the pool and riding his 4-wheeler, thus the blankie and bebe with him in the flower bed while I was trying to get photos of Eli in the flowers.

Out of approximately 10 photos of Eli in the flower bed, this is THE only one that I could get him to look at me.  He was more interested in pulling the leaves off the flowers or trying to eat them OR the mulch.  And NO!!  He’s not starving!!

My two youngest grandsons

I am soooo enjoying have my two youngest grandsons around, making my house alive!  I’m getting lots of practice shooting totally in RAW and MANUAL!!  The light bulb has come on!

Elijah is just THE sweetest and happiest baby!  I don’t know HOW Adam and Kym got so lucky!

Aiden just wouldn’t give up wanting Papa to open the “building” so he could see the lawn mower and tractor.  So Papa decided to take him for a ride on the garden tractor but as soon as Papa started it, Aiden ran to the deck.  I asked him if he was going to take a ride with Papa and he said “no!, I don’t like it!”  So parking it and shutting it off AND removing the key was good enough for Aiden to climb in the seat and play.  Of course, he had to know what EVERYTHING was (gear shift, brake pedal, front grill, headlights, mower deck and so on until we went over the entire tractor.

My Flower Garden

I wanted to share just a few of the photos I took this morning in my flower garden.  It was THE perfect day for photography…….no bright sun, overcast and great for taking these photos.

CUTE Sequence

I just LOVE when I capture a sequence of photos.  These are just TOO cute!

The look on his face is precious!

Mmmmmm…….good??

I guess that wasn’t so good after all.

Decisions decisions

This photo originally didn’t turn out very nice at all and I really liked it.  Here is the original photo.  You can see how a little editing and sometimes an action here and there can save what you think is a horrible photo and turn it into something beautiful.

I first had to straighten the photo in photoshop and when I rotated it, there were white areas at the corners on the bottom layer.  I then carefully used the clone stamp tool to make those areas black.  Then I cropped the photo and  decided to play with some of Coffee Shop’s actions.  This one is called Expresso.  On the first photo, it’s just the Expresso action alone and on the 2nd photo, I ran the Expresso action and then the Coffee Shop Burn on top.  Now I can’t decide which one I like best.

February Winter

Here are a few photos of our snow and icicles and below are layouts of my photos too.  The first two of  Boo and Boss were taken by me laying on my stomach inside the house to get a real good look at just how deep this snow is on our back deck.

More Photos and Layouts too

Here’s a few more photos and a couple layouts I’ve made with them.  My layouts are posted over at Get It Scrapped in the Gallery.

Sharing newest photos

Adam, Kym and the boys came up this weekend and I naturally had the camera out!  Eli was quite content and happy to lay on the floor and show off for Grandma and her camera.  He’s grown and changed sooooo much in 4 months.

And Aiden cooperated nicely too.  He’s sitting in his Great Grandma Long’s chair that she had when she was a little girl.

Zander was intent on watching cartoons while I snapped away!
